Tufa Towers at Sunrise, Mono Lake, California
This photograph comes from a spring trip to the Eastern Sierra. These rock formations were formed underneath the surface of Mono Lake, at a time when the water level was much higher. I decided on a simple composition to capture the tufas’ reflections on the water along with the wispy, cloudy sky above.
