Barrett Lakes and the Palisades at Sunset, Kings Canyon National Park
I photographed this scene in the summer of 2022 on a group backpacking trip to the backcountry of Kings Canyon National Park. The hike into the Palisade Basin required some of the most challenging cross-country hiking I had ever done up until that point. The views were more than worth it. I found this scene not far from our campsite, and the still water reflected that evening’s alpenglow quite nicely.
