Hiker Overlooking Dusy Basin, Kings Canyon National Park
I took this photo on a September 2023 backpacking trip into Kings Canyon National Park. My friend Julie hiked out onto a ridge overlooking a lake in Dusy Basin. I snapped a few shots of the scene under overcast skies, but waited in hopes of some better light. Sure enough, within a few minutes the clouds parted just enough for the sun to shine through, casting a warm glow on the entire scene.
